I summoned an ancient manticore but it is quite a bit weaker than the two dominance manticores i tamed. I would think with all it takes to summon an ancient that they would be stronger than the wild spawn versions of themselves. I mean there really is no incentive to summon and tame them if the wild version is as strong or stronger, just so much easier to tame the wild version and not waste a matrix core.
