You know the alt fire of the AR2, what about a weapon that only shoots the alt fire, but like a shotgun, like 3 per fire, but don't last as long as the AR2 ones, about 1/3 as long, and then the name would probably be the EM-15 (ElectroMagnetic-15)

edit: the clip could hold a standard 6, or could hold 3 to balance it out
