Specialist : "Full Override"
Hello.

Does anyone know how to use this ability? After successfully hacked an Advant MECH and upon completing the mission, Im unable to evac it, had to leave it behind everytime.

Or is it depends on mission types of some kind?

I don't think you can ever EVAC them, they are supposed to "find their way" to your Haven's, but I've had so many issues with LW so far, so I'm probably wrong.

Maybe someone can test Full Override on missions like Ambush Troop Column where you don't evac?

As far as I can tell, there isn't a dialogue for getting the MEC, but I'm pretty sure they reached one of my havens

Any progress on this? Any confirmation of how this works? Just ran into the same issue: was overjoyed to finally be able to use my Full Override capability, but then had to leave the successfully hacked MEC behind.
Will report if I succeed on a mission that doesn't require Evac...

Right, but the text says it will be "retrained to work for the resistance" (same if you try it on Drones, by the way), but you lose control after Evac, so either this is an error, or a bug, or it isn't explained properly... What's the point of having the skill (and at such high level too) if you can only use it on certain, rare missions?!

well haveing it control for the rest of the match is a big bouns, but yeah i agree not getting the mec means this is probabbly not as good as the other 2

the logic is simple not every mission you get to take suff with you, you are terrists lol

:D Not sure you're right. The text should then say "You have a 20% chance of taking me home with you" (but actually it's zero). Anyway, will keep trying, thanks :)

Just to clarify: When you perform Full Override, the first (easier) option is "Command Enemy: Take contorl of this unit for the rest of the mission"; the second, tougher option is: "Master Enemy: Take control of this unit for the rest of the mission and gain stat bonuses. MEC units will be reprogrammed to serve the Resistance".
it is this last part that doesn't seem to be happening (not sure about the stat bonuses)...

Okay, so I have just completed an ADVENT HQ Assault (Liberation) mission, where I managed to use Full Override on a high-powered Advent Mec (big red one), and I can CONFIRM that immediately after successfully completing the mission it showed up in the same Haven the mission was in, appeared on the Resistance Management list! :) (Also hacked a drone - has exact same text re being "reprogrammed to serve the resistance" if you use Full Override on it - but no sign of that).

I'm not sure why they couldn't program hacked MECs to evac, there's even an existing animation for it with the SPARK. Just apply that to any MEC that gets hacked, and boom.

Yeah, that skill seems unclear. It works on any mission that grants you alien materiel, and only on MEC units. Otherwise it's a more potent version of Haywire MC: you get it for the whole mission and the hack is easier. Which is still pretty great though.

Sure, it's a nice skill to have, but the fact that you can only actually "take the MECs home with you after the fight" on certain missions isn't properly explained and the text really needs tweaking to read differently on missions which will end with you losing the MEC (and in the case of drones).

It actually works properly on any mission that has no EVAC (not sure if this corresponds to alien material). have yet to try it on a Sectopod, but wouldn't that be something ;)

i think what they did is any time where you are rewarded alien material you get to take the mec home

Maybe its got something to do with the strength of the Robot. Trying Drones before Mechs to see if that works. Mind you, it would take a Spy/Retailiation in the right region to actually find out if it worked

Have you guys tried the Trojan perk for the specialist yet? I'm having issues with it triggering on some robotic enemies. For example, it doesn't seem to trigger when hacking certain advent mecs or advent hunter drones, but does trigger on standard mecs, drones, and turrets.
