Bleed Out Bug on Supply Defense Mission

I had a soldier bleed out while doing one of those
"Defend your supply" mission, but I managed to finish the mission before the solider bled out completely.
The problem is, that the solider was declared dead at the end of the mission. Shouldn't the soldier be saved? This can't be intentional.

i had the same bug. i did not do ironman so i was able to reload a save. i would love to know if that works for you aswell
