Laboratory Rush
So, I tried a new strategy today on starting new LW2 campaigns.

Instead of rushing the AWC/GTS, I went straight to the black market and bought myself an engineer and a scientist. After excavating and stocking a few supplies I built a laboratory.

Currently in the second month of my campaign with everything possible researched and laser weapons being doled out among my troops.

What I've realized is that the prototypes you get from researching the corresponding tech can be game changers early game, even if you only get one.

Plus researching fast allows you more time to open intel packages, lootboxes (if you're using that mod, I am :D) and basic and engineering research projects.

My hope is that down the road, when the research times are even longer and I also have the shadow chamber projects to deal with, I won't fall behind too badly in research if I can get ahead early.
