Can u fix OverSpawns?
I've been trying almost everything i could to limit overspawns, mainly Coels,Cnidarias,Piranhas,Meganeuras,Mantas,Dolphins... couldn't find a way unless removing them entirely.

The most ridiculous is Coels taking over 10-15% of all spawns in the map. Cnidarias spawns dead mid air.

I really like the mod, don't really mind all those flashy colours eventhough it could be nice to have a way to turn them off.
Maybe is it possible to have a 'master' command to allow a certain percentage of Pugnacia dinos to spawn...

To sum up dinos tending to overspawn :
Coel,Cnidaria,Manta,Trilobite,Meganeura,Titanomyrma(Flying & non flying),Dolphin,Salmon,Leech,Lamprey & in a less impactfull way Dilo,Troodon,Megalodon,Dimorph.

I really hope you can fix this, u really did an awesome job with this mod i really want to keep it in.

Pug has some of the most balanced spawning of any of dino rework out there. The problem is more likely caused by the map you are using. What map are you using?

Playing on the Island, i fixed my problem adding Extinction Core & removing all pugnacia overspawning dinos.
It seems coels are set to a high spawn rate anyway but pugnacia rates are over the roof, i'll remove them from extinction core too.

Extinction lowers a bit the rates of useful Pugnacia dinos but it's ok.

That is strange. In my personal experience extiction core has terrible overspawing issues. If you are trying to run both you will probably make more problems for yourself.

Yeah, just runned a little after a dinowipe, some dinos are overspawning with Extinction too and only a few parados dinos are actually spawning some terrestrial.I think i'll remove Extinction Core & remove pugnacia dinos causing overspawns.

I really wish hard limits could work. :/

try using one mod at a time. I know that "classic fliers" can cause overspawn

I was using Parados loaded after Pugnacia that's the only 2 dino mods i was using so to be entirely sure i removed all mods except Pugnacia & ACM(to monitor spawns)

Here's my results after a 30 min dinowipe : 29K wilds
- Titanomyrma Soldier => 832
- Trilobite => 915
- Meganeura => 1264
- Manta => 1223
- Ichtyosaurus => 1718
- Cnidaria => 607
- Coel => 8275

Only these spawns makes half of the server wild dinos... really intended?
For Cnidarias a lot are spawning mid-air so when i was monitoring spawns their count didn't move between 20 to 30K, my guess is the 607 were the only ones alive in water so not counting all the dead spawns.
Then u have some dinos spawning around 400 : Dilos,Dodos,Dimorphons,Compys,Troodons,Leeches,Piranhas,Salmons.
On my first post i was clearly underestimating the proportion of coel we're closer to 30%...

Gonna necro this post to say that Pug is still the beast of overspawning, no matter how much Fister denies it and tries to blame everyone else.
No matter the map, other mods or your settings, your server is gonna take a whack due to the immense amount of dinos spawning everywhere.
I have used Pug on over 20 maps, all with different settings and theres no stopping it,
Either try to make it work or dont waste your time with the mod.
Shame though, used to be my favourite mod, before he made it extremely too easy with the seriously unbalanced trancs anyways.

this I have 45,701 fish in my server and its the island...most of its coels...really sad too

Don't play that much these days but from what i experienced while ACM mod was still working overspawns mainly comes from ARK itself, especially fishes(coal)/insects.
Mods like pugnacia use the same system to spawn stuff so it just adds up to a bad start.

The only solution is cleaning the server entirely or partially via kill commands.
I also removed a bunch from spawning in config, never got the spawnweight command to work.

Spawn weights work fine just need to know how to use it lol using 1.0 with a 0.01 means only 1% of the time that dino will spawn if ya use 1.0 then like 15.00 it means 15 will spawn per spawner. that's a big no.

Are you using Eternal or Gaia or Parados with this mod if so you'll need to use spawn weights and hundreds of testing otherwise drop all dino mods and you should be fine eternal and gaia cause huge overspawns in the tens thousands
Your problem Lies in the other mods. Pug uses Vanilla Dinos and creates a Child in the dev kit, from those dinos. Because it's creating a child it's creating a direct replica of the creature in the devkit, meaning, Vanilla creatures DO NOT spawn alongside Pug. Any other mod which changes vanilla creatures WILL MESS WITH PUGNACIA. IE Primal Fear, Extinction Core, Annunaki, GG Economy, and more.

if you have a windows server and can use Plugins, I recommend getting Wild Dino Spawn Controller. It's the best.

If you are on Linux, I'm sorry xD

Otherwise, remove the other mods that use Vanilla spawns (as it confuses pug) and pug will spawn just fine.

Even being the only mod on the server, it still overspawns so im afraid that isnt correct :P

To prevent the most problematic dinos from spawning, disable them completely in the Game.ini:

Execute a "destroywilddinos" afterwards. Verify via the ingame Pugnacia Guide, that none of these creatures are spawning (Wild Dino Count should say zero).

This seven dinos have always had overspawn issues (1000+) in my singleplayer games on all maps that I have played Pugnacia on.
