If you don't like it, great. This same argument would have happened if it was the other way around. The downthumb is an amazing way to tell someone you dislike the content they have placed online and evade the argument altogether. It is considered a silent yet civil way of expressing distaste through the internet, something we cannot do in real life as that is not how human communication works outside of digital media. If I were you, I would take full advantage of that.
