Upgrade Station v1.8i

Suggestion...
Is there any way we can make the upgrade station use materials when it fails? It doesn't have to be all the materials lost but like a quarter or half?

It defeats the purpose to even have a "fail" option at all, if it's not gonna use the materials when it fails. Why not just make it auto succeed because in essence that's exactly what's happening. No material lost equals upgrade everytime, just depends how long you have to stand there pressing upgrade button.

I may also have the settings wrong, but i'm using .5 on both multipliers because crafting the extinction prime gear is a pain on my server (by design) so i'm trying to allow the players to be able to upgrade their gear over time.

Also, if it's at all possible could we have a setting to allow us to change the fail rate if it's at all possible.

Thank you so much for the great mod!

Hi Chris,

Your suggestion is a good one, and it will be implemented, but due to the latest update (tonight) it can't be implemented yet BECAUSE... after tonights update is released there won't be a fail rate because it won't fail anymore. :P

Tonight's update fixes the buffer overflow error which was why there is a fail message. It wasn't an intended mechanic but more of a bandaid until we could get item generation working as intended.

HOWEVER. We do want to add the ability for item upgrades to fail and consume a portion of the resources that were supposed to be used to upgrade with the fail rate being configurable via INI.

How does that sound?

@Ghazlawl Would you consider making some kind of cool down for the upgraded items? Perhaps use a buff that adds a timer to the item which renders it unable to be upgraded again for a certain period, and if possible, make that period .ini configurable so that it can be customized(or even set to 0 to to turn it off).
Also, I would also like to add my "yes" vote to the "Fail Rate" .ini option. This, also, can be turned off by server admins by setting the "Fail Rate" to 0.

@dreyn74 A cooldown isn't a bad idea either. I'm sure I could find a way to do something like that. I'll add it to the list. :)

Regarding the "Fail Rate" option, absolutely. We're hoping to add configurable options for most of what the mod does so players can suit it to their individual play styles.
