I don't know if it is actually not working for me, or if I am just using it wrong. I tried putting a variety of tools and materials in the station, and neither the salvage button or the upgrade button ever lit up. Even tried just a stone pick with all of the wood, thatch, and fiber I had thrown in and nothing. I am running a dedicated server, with the following mods:

Extinction Core
Structures Plus/Pillars Plus/Platforms Plus
Light Controller
Redwoods Anywhere
Super Spyglass
Raft Extender/Raft Pipes
Echo's OCD Stacking Storage
Automated Ark
Bridge
Upgrade Station

That is roughly my load order - Extinction is first, Upgrade Station is last, and the rest are in the middle somewhere. :)
