At 1st sight it looked to me as if that was a mine you could plant, then a player that walks into it has an explosive problem.
Or, that would make a use if you place 2 of these guys and they connect between each other with a current making a hurdle that would be dealing constant damage as long as you are in range. This damage could be avoided only if jump+crouch.
Wonder what you think of either of the idea.
