Ugly trait and debuffs

I just installed this mod, it seems great, but I'm wondering how the "Ugly" trait is in fact ameliorated, as colonists who have this trait are doomed to never having hardly a single friend. What effects does this mod have on taking some of the pressure off of this debuff?
