Gridlock
Kyle's Review of "Gridlock" - 3/5
Neat concept! 3/5 stars.

Gridlock is an experimental 1-map campaign from Lou Saffire, creator of the delightful Blight Path and Roadkill campaigns. I've always admired his work for its innovation and creativity, and Gridlock has plenty of both. This mod takes you up, down and over a crowded highway while natural disasters strike at every turn. Dodging falling debris during an earthquake, crossing a bridge before it collapses, playing a very literal game of The Floor Is Lava... this mod uses its unique setting fairly well. It's a shame there isn't more of it, though — this gimmick could easily sustain an entire campaign.

The main issues are length and polish. Pop-in and visual bugs are constant, and few areas feel finished. I especially hated a ladder in the finale that's incredibly easy to bonk your head on, preventing you from ascending. This campaign isn't a bad time, but it was later expanded into 4 full maps and turned into Roadkill (minus the lava), so maybe just play that instead.
