Matter Manipulator (Phys/Gravity Guns)

The way a player model holds the manipulator should be fixed.
The playermodel holds it like its holding the physgun, which looks really weird.

Yeah! Agreed, it's kinda like they're trying to hold it side-ways but they just broke their wrist so they can't.

just switch it to use pistol or revolver animations

Easier said than done guys. I can't have txt weapon scripts in a workshop addon, which is what the physgun and gravgun use. Any other methods I know of would cause a lot more problems than they'd solve.

I'd love to do it if I could, but it's not feasible.

Is it possible to make the model work with the animations? Maybe make a larger, custom one?

Well, i mean he can't technically change the animations, since it's a "reskin" of the grav gun and the phys gun, I'm pretty sure changing the animations on the physgun and the grav gun scripts could cause problems, but hey he just explained it so...

Just use Pac3 and change the animation to the revolver/pistol. Problem solved.

Changing the animations would break a lot of things, unless the code is changed properly which could take hours, days, even weeks for an unskilled modder to change.

Like I said before, the issue is you're not allowed to have .txt weapon scripts in an addon, which is what the physgun and gravgun use since they're default GMod weapons. Only way to get it to work without directly replacing player animations (which might also not be allowed and would break anything else that might use those animations anyway) would be to recreate them with Lua and give the recreations the correct animations. Hopefully don't have to explain how that would be a poor implimentation.

What he's saying is basically: He can't replace the 3rd person animations so get used to it.
