[Bug] Bionic Replacement

Am I understanding this mod wrong? I made a bionic spine for one of my colonists and had put it with surgery, but nothing happened. The spine is gone and it still says my colonist's spine is shattered. This is really disappointing, is it not supposed to work like this?

If your colonist fails their surgery roll, then yes that's what happens.

My advice would be to always quicksave right before attempting any surgeries.
