Was Trotsky really such a pacifist?
IRL Trotsky was People's Commissar of Foreign Affairs of the RSFSR in 1917-18, and People's Commissar of Military and Naval Affairs of the Soviet Union until 1925. He was involved in the attacks against Finland, the baltic countries, Mongolia and Poland.

In my opinion, the trotskist ideology (called revolutionary here) should therefore be able to
-wage war against "innocent" countries that didn't generate WT
-get faster war justifications when at war with a major (see the rapid sequence of the attacks against the Baltic countries and Finland)
-be able to make puppets (like Mongolia)

It was during a civil war he never chose to declare. The Bolcheviks never DOW Poland nor any other country during this period.

But, that don't made him a pacifist at all. His aim (like Lenin's) was to spread the Revolution everywhere, not conquest wars nor puppet.
