If a natural Pop starts growing on a tile with Minerals or Minerals+Food, and a Robot "wants" to become auto-built there, I'd like the Pop to be moved to some other tile on the same planet. That may be a lot to ask, but it's really the only way I can see for such an auti-build feature to be desirable to use for me.
Yes, robots will cost energy and time to build.

No I think that they won't create new type of the Robotic population. But in the meantime, Synthetic Empire Mod was [Discontinued] because Utopia addon and Re:Robots+ got 'Robots are created automatically and no longer have to be built!' change and even if it doesn't seems to work, author probably will fix it.
bc after i modded the bots the mod still build the original one(which is annoying)
