You guys probably don't have the "Extra Lanscaping Tools" Mod. The surface painter is just a plugin for that mod.

@Tatsumi Kimishima i do have extra landscaping tools. Dosent work. But it did work before i unsubed and then re-subed

i just removed almost all mods trying to find a mod that crashes the cities, re-uploaded this one and it crashes again. Details in bugs report.

@Tatsumi Kimishima - well i have that mod and it crashed the game nevertheless - even before i start uploading any city
Ive got same issue with you guys..but i found out in my case the issue is my graphics card. I have uninstalled my AMD RX460 driver and utilized the windows Intel (R) HD Graphics 4600. So far its running well. And do not use the surface painter outside the 25 tile map or else the issue may occur somehow.

Reload the game after installation. It worked for me.

After removing the FindIt! it started working for me.
