well here's an idea: maybe add guns like the carrier ships on other ships except put them in different positions. for example, maybe a star destroyer could have pilot manned front lasers while the providence has broadside guns. just a suggestion!

Sounds like you haven't looked at many of the newer ships. Also, the Providence/Star Destroyer are from Ep. 2, not the EU pack.

But to answer your question, the code is set up in a way that only one or the other can happen. But making variants might be an option...

What about those transports that the empire used in rouge squadron and rebel strike on the game Cube? The senteinal crate dropper and the other name. I cant remmber the full name of it.
