Of course, if some of your assets are reported as failed, you should disable those ones.
Reinstalling stuff is not going to help. You just get the same files back.
I guess your operating system is using more RAM after the update. I don't know how to increase the size of the page file in macOS but you should look that up.
Also, are there some new background apps or services running after the update?
If it helps, the last line I see in my "Player.log" file after the game locks up during loading is:
Receiving unhandled NULL exception
Obtained 11 stack frames.
Any additional insight would be great. Your mod is amazing – thanks for continuing to update and provide support.
Native system crashes are nastier because they are associated with the hardware: running out of memory, memory defects, GPU issues, driver issues, file system issues, and so on.
I googled that error message but could not pin it down to any single reason. Seems that it is always Unity-related and the operating system is always Linux or OSX.
My advice is to monitor memory usage while you load. This game can load a lot of content using the page file but when stressed enough it will eventually crash. Some computers sooner, some later.
