We need more information. Is there a specific point where the game crashes? Is there an error message?

When I hit PLAY, within 5 seconds, the PLAY button appears again, and nothing ever happens. I just uninstalled and reinstalled and unsubbed and resubbed.

Can you paste the contents of the file "warnings.log", located in the Impossible Creatures game folder?

This file is dated on 4-19-2021 so this is from before I saw the problem happen.
