Nanite Control Factory - Automated Construction (Not working - Old Version)

NCFs stealing each other's resources
I encounted a problem when you have a couple of NCFs next to each other that they constantly grab items from each other's inventories so they both think they are missing the items needed to build so you end up with nothing being built. Otherwise really loving this mod and going to use it quite extensively!

I thought I fixed this, ug. I will look at it again, thanks for pointing it out!

This should be fixed. Please try it again to confirm.

Sorry, been working so not tested properly. This seems to be fixed, but I have encountered another issue related to inventory movement. I have 2 NCF on a shuttle that I use to dock to ships I want to build on or repair. Currently I have a ship that is docked to my station with all my inventory stored, and on the other side I have the NCF shuttle docked to the ship. The NCFs are not pulling components from the base, even though I can manually move them through the system.

It might be something weird with your setup that I am missing. If you publish your world with the issue setup for me, I can try it out and fix it.

Hello I will join because it encountered the error with a docked ship on the connector. You can manually move the materials but the factory nanites can not see them.
Modification of the renewed five minutes ago.
Great modification of each other will only add that to work properly requires far too much energy even large reactor has a problem with a few small factory still little power :(

Power requirements are there as balance. Having these things always repairing is powerful, especially in combat. I will eventually allow custom power settings if you want to have a less power hungry version.

Somehow gives advice :) but the construction of using the projector, even a small ship or even a large station module to a reasonable running smoothly, they need to work refineries and assembles a large reactor is not enough, and eateth consumes unimaginable amounts of uranium :)
To build a small boat with about 500 blocks of factory consumes 30-50 pcs. Of uranium.
A small ship welder uses the same blueprint approximately 2 bars of uranium :) so I think that this balance is not entirely preserved but this is only my opinion because the modification, and this is wonderful :)

Multiplayer is pretty bad atm with the movement update so having a hard time moving ships >.<

I'll create a single player world and see if I can recreate this and upload it tonight.

Someone else reported this issue as well, so I'm going to do some tests with connected ships. For some reason the conveyor path is being lost.
tyrsis  [developer] 11 Apr, 2016 @ 8:05am
Connections should now be fixed.

I kinda just moved everything to my ship now, so the connector issue isn't bothering me just now, but glad it's fixed. :)

I've noticed now that the factory gets stuck sometimes. Even though I have tonnes of materials inside the NCF and loads more, it just seems to not want to build and I have to rip it down and rebuild. I don't know how you've got the build targetting set up, so not sure if it's because it's waiting to have all the materials it needs for everything or if it's calculating based on the current build targets. Either way, it seems to feeze up even with plenty of mats available to build at least something (IE, I have 100k steel plates in the NCF and a few hundred light armour blocks awaiting construction).

Loving the mod man, and really respect the work you've put in!

Can you get it into that state (where it can't build, but has plenty of materials). Save it, and publish the world / link it so I can look at it? I may be missing a small issue somewhere that you're running into. I can't replicate the issue you're having.

Another week of work yay. Our server was down for most of last week due to the steam updater on the machien being screwed so... Anyway, loaded up yesterday and it's been stable now, building when we add new blocks or damage blocks etc. So hopefully it's all good :)

With the current bug where assemblers/refineries aren't grabbing resources we are not really building at the moment, but if it happens I'll grab a copy of the world.

Welcome back :)
He came back the problem docked ship, again, the factory does not see the materials through the docking connector.
Regards.
