Nanite Control Factory - Automated Construction (Not working - Old Version)
Not Building "little" items
After extensive testing (hours on the same run) I have almost completed the Vipera ship on the workshop homepageusing soley 2 NCFs, but it keeps getting stuck on some of the interior lights. It seems to me like the welding field is in the center of the block (kills me when i get about half a block away) and it cant quite reach the little items like interior lights and control panels. Only gets stuck on 1 out of every 10 lights or so.

side note: the projector based nanites (purple) are putting them down so the one interior plate is in place its just not building it. Maybe it has something to do with all the parts being there but none of the building done?

Temporary workaround for anybody else:
I've just been shutting them down and running around with the hand welder hitting all the interior lights and when I turn the NCF back on it picks new targets and works again untill all the nanites happen to get stuck on interior lights again.

This was an older bug, but I thought I completely fixed it. I will add it to bug list and increase the weld area slightly.

I think you only have to increase it by a couple pixels. I've noticed the only ones its not welding are the ones that are placed on odd objects (blast doors, jump drives, etc). The Interior lights placed on the bottom of catwalks, standard blocks, etc. build fine.

The weld area was updated, so this should be fixed.

Seems worse. It DID build the interior lights but now it wont do "sliding door", "light armor corner 2x1x1 tip" "stairs" and im sure there's more but those are the ones that I see now. (all objects with hit boxes toward the edge of the block). Any way to make the weld field move around a little bit while its welding. Even if the field hit other blocks it shouldn't build them (causeing simspeed issue) since it only carries the components for one block.

Hmm, it might be something off with my transforms. Would it be possible for you to setup the situation for me, save it, and publish a world and give me the link so I can see it? If I can run during debug I can easily figure out the problem. It's hard guessing what the issue can be, and also kind of hard setting up the situation, since you already have it setup.

Actually, I think I recompiled the block wrong and gave even a worse area. I'm going to update in a moment, and I'd like you to try again.

By george, I think you've done it! little guys are welding away to their microscopic hearts content. If they get hung up on anything Ill try to simplify my world and post it with the issues, but so far so good. No issues after ~15 min of going at it.

noticed a few other discussions talking about things not being built. Tested some stuff that my nanites got hung up on before and sure enough, the bug is back. I created this world to show it happening. I'm 99% sure it has to do with the blocks they're attatched to, not the interior lights themselves.
