Nanite Control Factory - Automated Construction (Not working - Old Version)
Nanites only comming back as red
Hello,

First off I would like to thank you for this amazing job. It really helps take some of the tedium out of building both large and small things.

This is all in a MP server, it is not dedicated though.

I put two nanite control factories up in my base hoping they would help me build a massive ship. I noticed they were going after some blocks inside my asteroid but can't identify what ones. I made sure the had plenty of supplies to work off of and left them to do there job for about 30 min as a ran around a few asteroids documenting the minerals.

When I came back I noticed they were still targeting the same area but all coming back as red. In digging through the logs it sounds like it is trying to build/repair a block but is failing due to lack of resources. This made me scratch my head because they have every single material available to them either inside there storage or attached via conveyors to them.

I was hoping you could look over my save and log and help me identify the problem.

Thanks again for this awesome mod and the support you are providing.

Them coming back red is actually a known issue, and mostly just a cosmetic problem. Thanks for the saves though I will use them when fixing this issue. (I just have not had time to sit down and fix it. Hopefully later today)

Is there a reason it does not appear to ever appear finishing working on the structure it starts on?

I see the problem. The new welding system wasn't fixing deformation properly. I have a solution for this and it shoudl be available soon.

I saw the latest patch note and restarted the game to pick up the update. It still appears to be targeting the blocks without repairing/building anything. I updated the log files in the links above.

**Edit** I saw the note for the MP issue of players not seeing the nanites, can confirm the other players are able to see them now.

I tried with the save you gave me, and things were repairing / building properly. I did another update in case I missed something small. If that doesn't work, perhaps I will need another save. As I'm not seeing any issue locally anymore. (I was before I fixed it)

That did it! Thanks so much for the effort you put in, anything as players we can help you out with?

I noticed that the second nanite station does not work in tandium anymore, it is unable to target blocks as "another station as this block as a target"

Factories on the same station should target different blocks. Overlap causes inefficiency, as they could only really mess with a block one at a time anyway. They never really "helped" each other ... one actually worked and the others didn't do anything.
