Nanite Control Factory - Automated Construction (Not working - Old Version)
[survival] NCF rebuilding my ION thruster that i'm trying to upgrade to hydrogen [how other then turn factory off]
So i'm playing the crashed red ship... and upgrading ion to hydrogen... i didn't want to lose the resources so i take as much as i can before i can go drop it off the NCF has complexity repaired it. ground the whole thing off and watched parts fall in to space...

other then turning off the factory is there a way i missed to address this? (or building a platform under what i'm working on)

can you make an upgraded grinder(or new tool) that if i use will mark that block for deconstructing.

This would help with redesign and such.

really at this point the resources are not a real issue 12 refinery's 9 assemblers... but resources are resources and hate to see them go to waste.

Turn off the gravity generator then just grind it down let the NCF pick up the bits

lol ya i kind of figured that out.

I still vote for a tool that will let you select one block to be removed.

I second this, it's very annoying when the NCF repairs blocks faster than I am able to grind them, so even if I don't mind the parts dropping, I can't actually grind the block away without turning the NCF off first.

build the elite grinder

1. I'm on a planet, so no platinum yet.
2. That helps on some things, but there are a few blocks from mods that are so big that even that doesn't help.

You could have turned off the repair/construction nanites until the Hydrogen Thrusters are at least placed, then you could turn the repair function back on when done.

yes but kind of a pain to find a access port turn them off... then trun back on... plus it's not doing other task's while you turn it off.

as i said if it's posible to mark a single block for removal (this might be a API MOD limitation issue) that would be really nice and make descronstion nanitis much more usable. then just take apart a grid.
