Balancing suggestions
we tried the NCF on our DS and some things came to mind in regards to balanicing in PVP scenarios:

- a inhibitor field generator, which while active prevents all nanite activity, would be nice to prevent players to deconstruct your grids with a simple deconstruct beacon.

- hacking and healing as well as mining should be deactivateable in config or only available with upgrades which can be deactivated in config

- the modificator for materials needed to build the NCF makes the NCF inoperable if set lower the 1.0

these are some of the things we discovered and discussed while playing with the NCF for 2 weeks now.

if you have more suggestions or different balancing ideas then add them under this discussion.

I'm considering an inhibitor in the form of an EMP that will disable the factory for some time.

Hacking, healing, and well any function will be / can be easily be turned off in settings.

Can you explain the modification for materials setting not working? Are you saying new factories don't work, existing factories stop working?

the NCF does work if you set the materials needed modificator below 1.0 but when welded complete it will show that the NCF consists only of 1 interior plate. in the controlscreen it sometimes shows as incomplete and sometimes not.

also settings below 0.25 won´t let you complete the NCF and in worst case crash your game since you can´t add less then 1 display-component
