Change drop rate of crates?
I was curious if there is a way in the INI to change the drop % of a crate to drop in the enemy loots. Right now its basically 100% chance there is a crate in every loot pickup leading me to have a ton of crates to research. I would personally like to make it a 1/10 chance to get one in a loot drop making it much more rewarding to get a unique item. Any help would be great!

What did you change the existing values to? T1 is currently 100, which I'm assuming is the 100% drop rate you're talking about, so limiting that to 10 or 20% is probably best, but what about the other T2 - T5?

Currently I am trying out.
T1=20%
T2=10%
T3=6%
T4=15%
T5=6%

So far it has been pretty good! I also have a very heavy modded game, a lot more timed loot drops so I had to lower these rates.

Cheers. Do you also reflect those values into the second Loots[1] line for T2, T3 and T5?

yeah. I also changed those values to the same. Slightly less, I still have managed a double Epic and double Rare drop, but been pretty rare lol.

i was getting too much boxes that it broke my game with not dropping any alien data caches! i am going to reduce the drops also

I've found that unless you're using a mod that increases timed loot drops, a more managable number would probably be:

T1=40%
T2=30% (Loot1= 30%
T3=20% (Loot1 = 20%
T4=10%
T5=5% (Loot1 = 10%)

As of yet, I haven't had any drops, but I'm still testing for mod incompatibilities.

Yeah, my game can have up to 10 time loot dropped... I have got like 5 loot drops with all random stuff in a single mission. My game is severely out of the norm tho lol, got like 40+ mods installed and I modded it myself. My campaign is going to take well over 2 years, already in oct and alien incryption is like 60 days to research still lol. Every autopsy is like 25+ days with no way to get instant unless you had 999 bodies. Every enemy created is in my game with them all heavily modified, Fought 2hp elite viper and 169hp elite viper lol. I am expecting to see well over 200hp pop up as chrys queen has 125hp base lol. You basically need to equip the hell out of your soldiers just to stand a chance! Pods can also come with 13+ guys. Its insanity lol.
