The behavior you're describing is related to the high levels of the wild dinosaurs rather than the color mod. *BUT* mods that change the max wild dinosaur level must normally go in first place in the mod load order and the Dino Colors Plus mod must go in first place in the mod load order too. So if you're running both types of mod side-by-side without both in first place then bugs in both mods are significantly more likely.
