I've been preparing that already, i was just holding off because i was waiting for more AI changes to be ready. With what i made last week and what's coming up tomorrow, i reached a point where releasing that seperate AI mod makes sense.
The mod will be available somwhen next week, maybe even already tomorrow. Depends on if i feel like finishing the AI mod tonight. So yeah, great timing on that question :)
This is definitely one of the more ambitious and interesting projects on the workshop. Really great stuff. Thanks for your hard work! :-)
If they have their own decision trees, they will still be affected by the global parameters (that lead to better movement and cover use, for example), but Better AI will not overwrite those trees, of course. So some features may be missing for those enemies like the overwatch and targeting improvements.
They are fully compatible in that there will be no adverse side effects at all, unless the other mod does something really funky with the vanilla assets.
I am by the way currently finishing up the last few things on the standalone release. So you can expect it in the next few hours or at least tomorrow.
