The latest update has a setting that allows both genders to wear a uniform regardless of the soldier's gender, you may want to check that out.
So something that has been occurring in my playthroughs is that whenever i make a uniform for a man, listed as unisex, then apply it to the woman it gets kinda wonky. Mostly it has issues copying everything other than the paint scheme to a character of the opposite sex. this has proven to be an issue when auto apply uniforms under the class uniform options.
After disbling each mods I had I found out the problem comes from the uniform manager.

Is it possible to fix it ?
Disabled all mods except this one and was still getting the issue.
