Can these be limited?
Before I pitch a mod instead of developing one myself I figured I'd ask a simple question.

Can these be limited quantity?
I would love to play around with these and give them interesting stats, but with some balance in mind more to the tune of "You currently have X many Desert eagles" instead of an infinite amount.

If so I'd add in a mind controlled rookie to each squad with a sectoid sporting the obtainable "rare gun"

They probably can, but I don't know how to make them. I always intended for my weapons to be like armor props - just some more variety.

Thanks so much for answering, i'll look into it further.

I feel they'd fit perfectly into a new (harder) layer of combat per mission if you somehow had a means to collect. I'll repost here when I find relevant info (not questions).

That was just what I found, I think it was in x2item*objectname*.uc.

Not something that will work on it's own, have to change/add more to create a way to obtain.
