Pak 44 Is still in.
Year modes we're eating memory causing crashes. and haven't been supported in years and thus had issues.
No arty didn't work because many vehicles have indirect fire. Removing all of them would of killed the roster and copies would be a lot of work and increase crashing.
If it's a historical game as you wanted then there would be no maus as you also want.
didnt see the pak44 because it has the picture of a pak 43
i never experienced issues with crashes and neither have any of my friends that play this game so i for real have no idea what you are talking about when you say the year modes caused crashes
no arty mode has worked for years atleast i never saw somebody complain about them and even if some vehicles have indirect fire mode most people didnt even know or just didnt use it, maybe out of all the games i played in 5% somebody used indirect fire mode
and if you want to keep the rosters then why do you remove so many units, for example why cant i use the 3.7cm pak sdkfz anymore neither the small or the bigger version, no panzer 2 anymore except the luchs, no panzer 4 G or F1 or F2 no panter G or Panther D or Tiger E and many more examples, you dont want to kill the rosters but then reduce them to a bare minimum probably because of "crashes" wich neither me nor any of my friends nor anybody ever complained about, atleast not that i have seen,
the maus would be okay in a historical game because it actually existed in germany during ww2 so why the hell wouldnt you allow people to use it while playing on test mode for example
the point of the robz mod besides realism and better effects was always the amount of player freedom, you could choose from so many different vehicles tanks and infantry squads, thats what was so awesome about it and now it gets more and more like the base game, even if its true the chance of crashes is higher with bigger rosters i would rather experience a crash every now and then but have a giant mod with giant units rosters and a high amount of player freedom with everyone being able choose the settings they want
The reason for this is memory stability, as the game preloads models mostly after unit roster (faction) selection. So most of the units are still there they are just spread around.
The mod absolutely has had a crashing problem. You can see dozens of change logs talking about this going back before you even talk about. It is also the number one most reported issue in the comments outside of maybe single player issues. Denying this is either nostalgia or a straight up lie, assuming you every play more than a 2v2.
if the crashes where such a huge issue and if it would be better to have less content and less player freedom for the sake of stability then please explain to me how it has become so insanly popular that it is not only the most popular mod but also an entire game based upon the mod has been made.
Regardless, only a few things were actually removed, most are still there and just moved around to try and get the best of both worlds, stability and variation.
