grenade launchers are stupidly unrealistic
M7 Grenade launcher range in robz world: 75m
M1 Garand range in robz world: 90m
m7 in real life: 200m (max range)
M1 in real life: 500-600m (effective range)

in robz, grenade launchers possess 80% of the range of rifles
in real life, they possess less than half.

there's a reason you dont read too much about rifle grenades in ww2, because they weren't that important, whereas in robz they're central to the infantry combat.

they were/are used for exactly 1 (one) job and that is clearing out dead space too far for hand grenades and too close for 60s or 81s.

to break it down simpler for robs, they're used for targeting areas not in the LOS within 50-200m. You take a shot in the dark at where you think the enemy is (or in the case of the defense, you have your dead space already ranged and zeroed). In Robz, they are used in all infantry scenarios.

in robz, two squads will meet in an open field where they have direct line of sight, and you must use your grenade launcher or your opponent will and defeat you, 1. because rifle range is basically equal to GL range in this mod, and 2. MOWAS is a top RTS which enables you to aim your GLs like radar guided bombs.

in real life, at 200m with line of sight, any trained soldier will hit what they're aiming at, and if you stop to eject your clip of live ammo, put in a clip of blanks, then load a rifle grenade, you are going to get shot.

i know robz isn't ever going to fix this and me and my friends are going to be stuck playing this ♥♥♥♥ mod because GSM stopped getting supported.

tldr robz is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ who figured out how to copy paste the vanilla rifle grenade from UK, threw in some arbitrary stats and then says they are perfect in their current (initial)state.

yeah that's why i used percentages so he can integrate it in a way that's proportional. and the mod is called robz realism mod ffs

@Jared, with downscaled ranges there is no way to make everything proportional, if we do base ranges of the 600m rifle range you gave then the rifle grenade would have 33m range, and the most common panzerfaust would have 10m. That's not useable. Artillery has 30 times less range than their real life counterpart and yet some arty has 800m range.
Things can be proportional to each other but then it won't be proportial to something else. The shortest range rifle grenade has 55m range, how short would that be if all rifle nades got decreased range? And then what about panzerfaust 100 which has 60m range now? should it then have longer range than rifle nades or would that need to be adjusted aswell?
It's all about a balance, the issue with riflegrenades currently is the very powerful ammuntion and accuracy.

55m is a reasonable range for all of the grenade launchers. really if all of them had similar stats to the current UK GL they'd be more balanced. and yeah, accuracy is way too high because IRL you can't see the enemy you're trying to hit in dead space like you can in the game, so decreased accuracy would be an analog for that.

@RobZ bring back realistic range mod
How about lowering the range and improving accuracy? it's almost impossible to direct hit with AT rifle grenade against vehicles now. Nowadays you have to go in about range 15 to hit a tank.
