Minimizing memory crashes

My brother has a new laptop with Iris XE graphics but it crashes almost isntantly because of the memory. After turning graphics to minimum and audio down to 11khz and 8 buffering, it manages to last for a bout 15 minutes. WHat can we do to get through a whole game?
