I have a fix for the checker skybox
I have another fix for everyone having the purple checker skybox.

IF you have ever been subcribed to "LifeMod" in the workshop, but then unsubscribed, and now see the checkered skybox then you are going to have to follow these steps.

Steam>steamapps>common>GarrysMod>garrysmod>data , then delete the remaining lifemod folders. I now have the regular sky, and enjoy the map once more.

IF you currently are subscribed to LifeMod, and want to keep it that way, but also want the sky to work, do this.

Disable uncompress hdr textures in lifemod. just conflicting addons is all.

that may be it. i personally love atmos but it was interfering with some of my favorite maps. so i disabled it and removed all traces of it from c

but have you ever been subscribed to either of those addons in the past? Because i personally only had to fix it becase of some residual files left behind when i unsubbed from those addons.

Go into your GMod video settings and turn on HDR to Full. This should fix it.
