Floris mod do have more troops, which is nice, but I feel like it's basically the same troops, the nord for instance don't have a single cavalry troop, but they've go instead tons of different infantry. In that way, Age of Calradia is much more simplistic troop tree with good diversity. The different types of bandits that you can also recruit in taverns is also nice, as they don't "upgrade" into a simple recruit/tribesman, instead they've got their own paths (Sea Raider finally becomes a Northern Hersir, which is sort of a stronger version of the Nord Raider, both are cavalry units.)
Now what I like about the Floris mod is that you can enter the ranks of a lords troops and get money that way, my main character is a "perfect soldier" and I feel like he can't really achieve that when he's the head of a mercenary group or a lord. Plus, it's easy as fudge to get people to like you, since you only need to enlist in their army, request some personal leave and then just go straight back to duty. Also, Floris mod have more heroes that you can take into your party, which makes things a bit more interesting.
There's so much more that I can write here, but I won't, because if you're still reading this far, then I'm impressed. XD
When compared to Floris Mod, this mod:
-Doesn't have as many companions (it has the vanilla ones)
-Companions don't carry loot to sell on their inventory, stuff you want to sell is carried by you. Auto-sell is still present thought.
-Doesn't have the "Enhanced Tournament".
-Has a more comprehensive troop tree compared to floris, In floris the expanded troop tree is kind of messy and all overt he place.
-Doesn't sport variable titles depending on fief, everyone follows the vanilla "one title" basis.
-Has a bit less stuff in terms of armor and weapons compared to floris, but it sports pieces of gear that floris doesn't have as well.
-Doesn't have an integrated option to disable companion complains.
-Doesn't have an option to load companion's saved stats from previous games.
-While inside a town or a village, there is no portrait of the lord on the corner of the menu. (This is something that i love in floris, that you can actually SEE the owner of said fief)
-Has a report which gives you details of your kingdom.
-Is lacking hair styles for women (Particularly the one which is long hair, this is a HUGE deal breaker for me, even thought it's something very irrelevant as the game is concerned.)
Those are the differences i have noticed so far. Overall, i would say this mod, while handling some aspects better than floris mod, there is still a huge gap between floris mod and this mod.
This that can be done to further improve this mod:
-Making it so that companions carry the loot from battles and not yourself.
-Have variable titles depending on type of fiefs awarded to AI lords.
-On that topic, have the titles be different from one kingdom to the other, the generic Lord for the majority of the kingdoms just doesn't work.
-Have an option to disable companions complains.
-Add more hairstyles, specially for women.
-Add a portrait of the lord on the corner when looking at the town/castle/village menu.
-Enhanced Tournament is not all that great, but it's better than vanilla tournament in my opinion.
Here's hoping this is taken into consideration at least.
Thigns I want to be added to ACE, The guns, the castles, the diplomatic options, armor, and GUNS!
