fatal error loading script file maps/omicron 03_02_omicron_inside_hps
I'm using the gog version (1.5) of soma and also get the fatal error (like other users reported) if doing the battery switch puzzle in the omicron tower. I tried to use the normal mode and enter the next level but its crashing with the same message.

Fails also for Steam version. Same error message.

Same issue for me, is there a way I can transfer this save file for use with a safe mode run of the base game? I just started and I want to avoid having to replay everything to get to the same point again.

I found no way to switch to the "safe mode" from the latest patch, so i finished the game in normal mode.

I got the same problem as the rest of you guys, i tried reinstall the game but copy all the saves first and then put them back and it worked for me :)

U just reinstal the game with mod and it worked?

Same here. Someone fixed this problem? I mean i don't wanna start this game over again with Safe Mode because Wuss Mod is retired. I'm very very close to end this game. Please :/

Well, if you dont want to start over you should copy the game files from mainwithaddons (-> wuss mode) to your normal mode game files, then you should be able to go on in normal mode (and if you are at omicron you can try to make the puzzle in normal mode, go away from it (until it autosafes or you safe on your on), copy the saves from normal mode to wuss mode and maybe you can play again ;3 :k8happy:

I tried it and its always crashing. :(

Even in normal mode? :,O Then maybe try this out (worked for me so maybe also for you): 1. uninstall the game (But maybe first look if you have steam cloud activated for soma, I think because I had it activatet I had my files because the following in normal mode) 2. reinstall 3. Try playing on normal mode ( and maybe you can copy before the other files somewhere (not in soma) and if you dont want to start over copy them in normal mode, however idk if it will crash then or not) and if you are afraid of the monsters: there is on youtube a guide for the monsters ;3 (worked for me ^^ (even though you probably wanted it to look in logs and explore freely... :S))

I did it as you said, to copy save from addons to normal mode so i did it what you say, leave the omicron and after that i moved the save to addons and it's still crashing with same error. I tried everything, reinstall didnt worked too. Let's forget about that, im going to play over again in "future" on safe mode since wuss not gonna fix that. thanks anyway.

yes, delete the game and mode but save the save files and just reinstall it all again and try

To fix this you need to add following code to the mod script:
