Can't play Twitch streams

When I request a Twitch URL, each time it says:

[Request Error] Twitch.TV: The requested stream was offline

The URL I'm putting in is 100% correct unless there's some hidden specific way I'm supposed to enter it and the stream is definitely not offline. Thanks in advance!
