Legion TD: Reborn
Few ideas that would make game closer to the original
I played countless hours in the original Warcraft LTD map and I think the Dota 2 version is lacking few crucial things.
1) Host should pick the game mode. IMO, the current 'vote for a mode' system does not work as many players have no idea what to vote for and why. The lobby should also have a mod-related name so players could join only -ap or only -hp lobbies.
2) One of the most played mods in LTD was not -ap, it was -hpmmhg (host pick) with Furion. Furion had random creatures. You could swap those creatures 5 times throughout the game by spending some resources. The current implementation of random builder in this LTD makes it unplayable, i.e. pay2discover at wave 1 plus no swapping.
3) The Tango shop mobs should have a characteristics pop-up when you hover over their icons. Right now it is really problematic to say what is the optimal mob for each of the waves.
4) The statistics about planted trees and level of upgrade (rotation speed) are a must have for comparison. Those should be visible in a player table in an old-LTD fashion, i.e. 6-1 (meaning six trees with 1 speed upgrade).
5) Enemy map and statistics should be visible only during duels.
6) Few chat commands like -info (showing the info about the current wave), -next (info about the next wave) and -lvl X (showing info about wave X) are missing. I know there is a small info on the next wave in the upper left corner but it is often not enough for planning. By the way, this information it too short. One could include amount of creatures in the wave and their abilities when using the chat command.

Thanks for reading and good luck!

These are really good ideas. I'll take a look at the -info one, that seems to be the only one of these done in lua (I'm quite poor at javascript).

As for the random builder, it is said to be balanced in the near future.

Enemy map being always visible is changed by the fog of war vote option.

As for vote options: we want to be very careful about splitting the community by creating too many options, that's why there aren't separate lobbies for each vote option combination (which btw would be really ridiculous).

The rest of these things are as far as I know done in javascript, which I can't answer for.

Thanks for your suggestions :)
