Remove the voting all together, and make the game host have veto on ALL votes. I don't know how many times I've had people vote for dumb sh*t like "return to sender".

The waiting could be reduced by showing who is clicking "Ready" by putting a check mark under their avatar. And also perhaps showing that you do not lose tangos if you ready up.
