Undead/Necro builder @Testserv. Way too strong. Launching might be unwise. Balance needed

lets be fair,ill plug my video here, because this is basically me plugging a video. i am not gonna hide that.

disclosure over.
after a few more test runs i realized a few thign:
- in the video i was udner eco'd, and i didnt leak almost anything
- i didnt have the money you usually have, my networth was around 2500-3000, which is around 4-6k lower then what you can have
- i wasnt even close to food cap
yet:
- I had the longest possible final wave time there was
- i could have easily been going on for a bit longer.

i minmaximized the necro/undead builder a bit and i came to a conclusion:

- My eco can be maxed till wave 18 with no leaks till then, which is quite fast considering the big nervs - i played with return to sender so getting send is not going to solve it.
- i am inpenetrable at wave 23 the last 7 waves will shatter almost instantly, not even get attacks off
-a disconnecting player after wave 3, would instantly boost me to a point of impenetration
- i survived 21 "that op guy at the end" waves.

thats when i was able to no longer kill em before the stuns wore off.

PROBLEMS:
- The builder synergizes too well without having a clear mechanic
WHICH MEANS
the synergy of this builder is just a lot of aura based generic effects without playnig into mechanical depth,its pretty shallow, and it could ltierally be put on every skin in the game and would make an equal amount of sense.

- THe range of the AOE is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ too large

- TOo much AOE clear.
even in my video, an unmaximized , ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attempt, you realize that wave 20-29 almost die instantly. the shadow fiends donig 250 UN REDUCED CLEAVE DAMAGE to everything while being 40% attack speed buffed is incredibly rediculus. the pugnas have too much, too large AOE (keep in mind the gyrocopters, a unit that gains a strong AOE after 3 upgrades for 750 is having an equal strong AOE, with a smaller range,f ro 15 times the gold. you can spam pugnas and zombies and youll prolly be save).
- Balancing numbers way off.

-The prices are toooooooo small.

I am aksing roofkiller if i can work on rebalancing this, from the ground up.
since i worked on this before and wanted to work on it again, we might find a way to balance numbers better

we might need to change a bit around.

I am right there with ya on this. I would prefer delaying a new builder until it is balanced a bit more. I like the idea of synergie, but not just by having auras and aoe. I feel like that may get too powerful Waaaaay to easily.

I haven't worked on the builder in a long time, since then I rebalanced it a bit on my own test mod - did you try that one or the outdated one?

It was mostly about the mechanics and I don't think it's generic, as you say. It was supposed to be a well rounded builder that's easy to play and relies on tanky units with AOE abilities.

The builder will rely on three main strategies centered around the pugnas. The sorcerer branches into 3 different paths at the end. One heals the tank at the front, the second one boosts a unit and the other one is an AOE disabler - so you can build around that. Again, there's plenty of possible strategies, it's just matter of pricing them accordingly - additionaly, it has the most possible early game openings so that comment is moot.

I've watched your video and you are using the public test version which is way older than the one on my profile. It has the bug with Pugna giving +5000 damage. No units were priced correctly back then either, it was a version made to find game breaking bugs, without much balacing. I have no time to work it now but if you want to review it, check the newer one first. It also has a class ability, replacing the Sell command with a new one.

Why do you balance on your own testmod instead of using the offical one? i mean the offical one had bug and balance fixes , and roofkiller is implementing those easily.

well, you gotta toss it to me because i cant find it on the workshop . I am not going to complain.

when i said generic i ment that you can put or slab a skin of literally every theme on the current set of this builder and it still would make sense. theres nothign really undead or necromantic about it. no regeneration, no necromancy, ya dig?

Well you can't since there's rot, feast, soul rip etc. And neither regeneration nor necromancy is considered main theme behind undead ( you seem to equate necromancy with undead ). It's death and decay.

Well if theres death and decay behind undeads then you have very few death and decay skills wouldnt you agree? No curses, no rots except literal rot, no dots really , no applications, no stacks (except armor drain which i dont get, why not a stacking damage per second)
yada yada.

and well , undead and necromancy is usually 2 sides of the same coin, only few games differenciate.
