I think this would be great by itself... It has a 60's feel to it which makes it perfect! But, if it were to make you fall off after riding for a bit, that would be some funny replays.

No, no, how about... making it a weapon? Like Crit-a-Cola! But without these sideeffects. And you turn the hoverboard with A and D instead of having a full control over your movement. And you can drive above water. And no jumps. No no no, jumping from the hoverboard is allowed. And no break. And you can crash into a wall.
