Alright Milo, i know i've been off and on about you recently in terms of this mod, and recently you asked me why i think you're rude, and why i don't like your mod. If you'll fully read this and hear me out, i'll explain everything.


First off, I don't hate you, i hate what you're doing to this mod. And no, it's not "the total conversion i dont want to use" aspect. Let me try and give you a few facts.

1. When it came to the modding contest, I'm not surprised you got fourth place. The mod is good...but the total conversion aspect of your mod itself is terrible. There's a lot of things about your mod, such as animations and realism fixes, that break the game in both technical and literal terms. THAT is why you got fourth place. Your TC is, in many aspects, broken, and the mods judged you for that. They didn't judge you on the animals, only what the catagory was, Total Conversion.

2. Due to the breaks of your total conversion, i don't believe you're even good at making total conversions. You yourself at the start of it all said you had no idea what you were doing, and it shows in the broken mechanics of the game that become prevalent when the total conversion is applied. You're not good at a Total Conversion: You're amazing at the new animals.

3. This is HEAVILY hinted in ALL forms by the public. Milo, it's obvious you pride and love this mod based upon the realism total conversions....
...but practically nobody else i know does. Nobody in any form of "public mod awareness outreach" or "mod publicity" even acknowledges it, in some aspects. All your mod is known for, Milo, and all it will ever be known for, is the animals. The animals are what you're amazing at, and that's what is shown throughout all of your public and publicity. Nobody knows or cares for the mod (in part) in terms of the total conversion aspect, and many aren't willing to put up with a broken TC for amazing animals. You first hated Riot and Mau5craft for their video showcases on your mod. You and yourself said "Lol, that person has no idea what they're doing. It's not about the animals.", and yet, here you go showing off one of their videos in your steam workshop (that's another bit on the 'rude' or 'suspicious' aspect of your character, but i'll touch on that later). Milo, if you look everywhere around you, nobody knows your mod's realism fixes until they come here. Because all they know or want is the animals: all you're really good at.

4. Your character, and i'm not the only one who notices this. Kirito, as well as Malzkid, Gigantoraptor and JustIDK have all noted your sharp personality, especially in terms of this mod. I asked you before about this. The whole public awareness aspect. In point 3 above i made the argument that "all you get credit for your mod for is the new creatures, which is what you're best at, but not what you want people to know about your mod or pride yourself for it". This is evident in your own behavior, and your reluctance to add new animals anymore unless paid for. I even noted that that's all the ark devs touched upon in their brief summary of your mod, as well, in Community Crunch. They said something along the lines of "It's always fun to see what modders do with existing content. Cool new 15 creatures gives an amazing way to look at the ark creature's you've grown to know and love!". When i asked you, out of curiosity, how it felt as a modder to know that what you're priding your mod for gets absolutely no attention, only your new creatures, and that was all the devs remarked about in their short review, how it felt that "what you pride yourself for goes unnoticed by the public"?. When you asked what i meant by the devs, i sent you a link to Community Crunch, and even qouted them. Shortly after, you responded by deleting our whole conversation in the comments. That doesn't do well for your public image. There's another mod maker with an infamous snappy attitude about his work/ mod, Peggi, who is also known as Joan. Known mostly for his helpful item mods, and his photon gun turret. It's been proven with video evidence that his mod is broken, and yet he still denies it and deletes all comments about such a broken part of his mod. Do you really want to be known as a snappy mod developer? That's going to hurt you more than when you turned this mod into a total conversion. Would also like to note that DxFrost has also had problems with your attitude, and that your ambitions on the contest are reminescent of one of the developers of Pimp My Dino. After it was found out he didn't win the cash prize, he's ceased all development on his mod. Do you not understand how selfish some of you moderators are becoming?, or how selfish that sounds? you're letting thousands of subscribers who love your work down!


In a nutshell, problems i have with you.

-Personallty/clingyness about your mod.

-Laxidazical attiude about new animals since you got fourth instead of third place. (shows selfishness, as well as whininess. Even shows a bit of saltiness)

- The fact you have no idea what you're doing in terms of TC but you still do it, and it continues to break the game.

- The fact you "hate" certian people's mod reviews of your mods because they don't show what you pride yourself for, but you use them anyway.

- Proof in functionallity you're better at new animals than total conversions, but you deny it.


You're an amazingly talented mod maker, Milo. If this mod was a standalone, only new animals mod, i swore you would have easily beaten even the overpowered nonsensical crap of annunaki in the contest. Yet, that is not my purpose in this conversation. Milo, i'm not trying to get your mod to convert back to a standalone, far from it. Milo, i'm in college, and i've taken several game design classes. One of which was about the game industry in general, and about good and bad choices game designers make. Milo, you're making many bad choices as a mod developer in terms of this mod, and you're going down a very dark path i don't want to see you go down. I've been following this mod back since it was just Novaraptors and Machairodus, nothing else. I've loved seeing this mod grow, even into the total conversion. Back then, your mod was barely known. Now, it's fairly well known for a good reason....and i just hope maybe you can see that.

Regardless if you're going to consider me another idiot rambling about the TC or not, i still have respect for you. Milo, you were the ONLY modder who bothered helping somebody interested in modding like me. I made several posts on the unity forum and asked for help, but nobody bothered helping me...until you gave me the help you did. Even though it was VERY small help, it was still immensely helpful. The modding community is advertised as a "friendly and helpful community", but when i got there...wasn't too friendly. When YOU, of all mod devs gave me even the slightest help, it ment alot to me. Regardless of whether you change the mod or not, or heed any of my advice, just know that you're a really cool mod maker in my eyes, simply because you helped me, a budding modder, out.
