I think that's because the draw order of the background and text gets randomized in load, nothing I can control unfortunately, it was reliable in the past but devs keep messing with things xD

A solution would be to change the background's transparency in the config, or your HUD's transparency since it follows that by default.

That "Textures\Particles\Square.dds" is in the game files... but that should not matter for DS, weird.

I can't replicate it with my vanilla DS, can you try a copy of your world in vanilla DS and see if the issue persists?

I could try to ask the owner but its not my server. But i did take a look into the mod folder and there's no square.dds. Only LeakInfo_Particle.dds and UI_TopRightCorner.dds in the textures/particle folder.
