how you make them not die?

If you are using Eggs or Incubator, or DNA sequencor, you won't have that problem. If they are fertilized eggs, or mammals you have to force feed them, till they are at 10%, then they will eat out of the trough... but they eat a lot. They are way over eating right now, they fixed it, but then broke it again.

You need to feed them as fast as you can for the first bit, you can't let them go empty for even a few seconds. They only hold a tiny bit of food, but that will get better with time. They don't feed from the trough till they hit Juvenile stage, which is about 10% of the growth. But even as Juvenile they eat a lot of food from the trough. I hope this helps.

this isnt a mod issue its a game issue the only thing i can suggest is wait till the devs do something about it
