Is the Freelancer addon in this? can you like join an army?? as like a just a soldier?

You can sign up to be part of a factions army by taking to a recruiter in their capital. You will start off as a private and as you gain xp you will rank up and have access to more troops and uniforms. Signing up isntantly counts you as a vassal
