Join a server that doesn't allow PvO? My server has no PvO and if it happens your stuff gets replaced and the offenders are dealt with. :)

You can try http://ark-servers.net/server/13566/ created today, lot of mods in it, with ark reborn as well, PVE only. I will try again to host this mod, hopping it will be a better experience than in the past ^^

SaiARK is a PVE Ark server that tries to make your Ark experience the best it can be. I've noticed a ton of complaints on the other Ark subreddits about cheating, admin abuse, griefing, and rerolls. You can feel safe knowing that we have none of these issues on the server. You can log on without fear of having you base destroyed, looted, and your dinosaurs killed. You can finally experience progression without having server rerolls over and over again. We do not intend to reroll the server at this time, unless suggested by the community. Admin abuse is nonexistent on this server. The server has a max of 30 players at the moment, but if we need more slots, that can easily be arranged. This is still a new server and we're looking for more friends to join and expand the community. I hope to see some redditors in-game!
Mods
We use a variety of mods to create a different Ark experience. No longer are you waiting 5 hours to tame a dinosaur. They are harder to take down now, but tame in a fraction of the time. There are also Apex dinosaurs that are a step down from the stronger Alpha ones.

Server Specs It's a dedicated server located in Dallas, TX so it's centralized for both east and west coast players in NA. The server has little downtime between patch updates (no longer than 20 minutes).
