Do I have to start a new game to access the content?
I bought the game, downloaded it, played roughly 12 hours, then found out about the restored content mod and the additional droid world. Will I have to start a new game to access these features and new content? Or can I just continue from where I currently am in the campaign?

You can try it with a game you already have going but the risk of running into bugs is probably quite high so starting a new game would be best.

You need to start a new game or, as above user stated, risk loosing way more than 12h.

yup any mod installed or uninstalled requires new game due to bugs
