Game crashes after being captured by Goto's yacht
After I have Ebon Hawk's transponder ID changed, the game switches to the Duros bounty hunters scheming to follow the ship, then the movie where Ebon Hawk is captured plays and then, when Goto's audience chamber is supposed to load, the game crashes. Sometimes it manages to load the audience chamber and go through a couple of lines of dialogue with Goto, but then it crashes anyway. Always. Any idea what might be causing it and how to fix it? I noticed that in those cases where I can catch a glimpse of Goto's audience chamber, black robots that look like the actual G0-T0 himself spawn behind the "Goto" hologram, sometimes there's one, sometimes there's two, sometimes there isn't any, which I thought was weird.

I vaguely remember having a similar problem when first playing TSL all those years back, and back then the issue was supposedly due to which quest you do or don't complete on Nar Shaddaa and/or caused by what characters you select to go on the Yacht, could it be that?

I'm having the same problem. Was forced to use cheats and warp to Goto's Yacht due to my game glitching earlier in Nar Shaddaa. But when I enter the audience chamber and start the dialogue with Goto my game client crashes. I can go through the conversation for a while before it crashes but I have yet to be able to actually finish it without a crash.
For me it usually crashes before the conversation even starts. But once it got to the point of the alarm starting, and THEN it crashed. That was the furthest I got
Update: I reloaded an earlier save, went through the whole jekk-jekk-tarr sequence again, once again got to the point where Ebon Hawk gets captured, and ran into the exact same bug.

Then I tried once more, and I was actually able to go through the conversation with Goto's hologram (notable: it was viewed from a different angle, and there were no black, spherical droids present, which makes me suspect that there are several versions of the dialogue, and that the wrong one seems to be loading for me most of the time), but, just as I was getting jubilant, the screen switched to my companions being "welcomed" by the HK-50 droids and in the middle of their boasting speech .. the game CRASHED again. It's getting really frustrating.
Alright, I managed to get the "alternate version" of the Goto dialogue to show up again. And I managed to sneak a quicksave, before the HK-50 droids start talking. Then the game crashed after they were finished talking, right as my characters were about to attack them. I then tried to reload the quicksave, only for the game to crash each time I tried to load that save. There hasn't been a single problem with the game for me until this point, but Goto's yacht is clearly incredibly buggy

The usual: Mods?
Made sure your install was clean?
Tried turning off frame buffer effect to get rid of the 'holo effect', see if that fixes anything?

From all you tell it's most probably a mod messing up your game though, the lack of droids is telling)
In the end, I managed to solve it by turning the "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects" entry in the ini file to 0. I'm not sure what the setting does exactly, but I was finally able to finish Goto's yacht that way. The only other mod I was using was some texture replacer for starry skies.
