Workshop or NexusMods?
Which would be a better source for mods? The Workshop or nexusmods? Why?

I would say Deadlystream. But I'm biased.

Agreed! I've never had any issues with Deadlystream so far. And of course, make sure the mods you download are compatible with TSLRCM and/or others or else your game will have issues/crash.

Have you tried playing in LegacyPC and then manually downloading the TSLRCM mod? I had to do this to help with glitching, my graphics card cannot handle the game after Steam modified it for quality. Downloading from the Workstop was convienient, but it caused me a headache. You can find the same files on Deadystream and do it yourself. Like I said before, you have to make sure the files are compatible, and you're good to go!
TSLRCM tends to work better if you get it from nexus or something similar and put it in yourself than the workshop
