Tangier Island is my first custom map for Unturned, and it is constantly updated, along with bug fixes and optimizations. The map consists of many towns, both big and small, many places to explore, extensive road systems, easter eggs, and more. Below is a guide of what to expect from the map, and the general rules of thumb when it comes to playing on Tangier Island.

RISK VS. REWARD:
------------------------------

When you look at the main premise of this map, the loot system is based off of a few factors:
-Location you are in, and what you think will spawn there.
-The risk involved in collecting loot. (Riskier the location, the greater the reward)
-How many players/zombies are likely to be in that location.
-How difficult it is to reach the location.

With all that listed, you can try and guess, "If I'm in a military base, I can expect military-grade loot, but I can also expect lots of zombies, and lots of places players can kill me from", or "I'm in a small town. I can't expect a lot of good loot, but there probably won't be as many hazards here." Get it?

Risky places, but with good loot: Military installations, large cities and towns, open areas with lots of overlooking hills and housed.

Less hazardous places, but with average loot: Small towns, outside islands, isolated areas.

Since this map is designed for PvP-style servers, those are a few things you should take into consideration.

ZOMBIES:
----------------

Zombies go hand in hand with risk vs. reward. If there are a lot of zombies present, chances are, there will be some good loot there, but possibly some other players, too. In a small town like Bensalem, you won't have the danger of many zombies, but don't expect to find anything more valuable than a gas can or blowtorch.

You can also guess where you are, or what's happening around you by looking at what the zombies are wearing. If most zombies are wearing bandanas and jackets.
